We always love seeing happy families, but few days are as special as Mother's Day! Thank you to the many wonderful mothers, grandmothers, children and families who shared the day with us. The kids were thrilled to pick out and deliver free daisies, and everyone had a great time. Just look at these smiling faces!

Philip Tappan and Todd Gold, owners of The Purple Cow Restaurants in Little Rock, recently held an informal groundbreaking ceremony to signify the beginning of the restaurant's expansion to the Hot Springs market.

July 20, 2009: Party time!

When it was time to make the big announcement, all eyes were on contest winner Annette Gary of Little Rock. She had the honor of unveiling our Cow's new name ? "Polly!" Customers cheered and clapped, and then everyone joined in to sing "Happy Birthday" to Polly the Purple Cow. But the fun didn't stop there! We also had a balloon artist, a giant cake, purple ice cream, stuffed cows, buttons, stickers and free milkshake coins. Friends of all ages came out to help us celebrate, and everyone had a great time. Thanks to the many people who helped make our 20th birthday so much fun!

After 20 years, our Cow finally gets a name!

Naming the Cow: Judging
After receiving hundreds of terrific submissions, a panel of judges faced the difficult challenge of selecting just the right name for our beloved cow. And they did a great job! We love "Polly the Purple Cow," submitted by Annette Gary of Little Rock. We want to thank our judges for their time and energy, and for helping make our 20th birthday extra special.
